Lee Alvarez at Pavlus has been assisting us for years and is excellent. My only complaint is with Tauck. We (myself, sister and brother-in-law) recently travelled on Tauck's Switzerland: Europe's Crown Jewel trip starting on August 28, 2025 (Reservation Number: SW 5828003). In the description of the tour they of course indicated that hotels would be the specified or an equivalent. When they switched out the hotel in Zermatt, it was for another just down the street, and was I believed a suitable equivalent. However, in both Interlaken and Lucerne, they swapped out our hotels for ones that were in completely different places, both up in the mountains in small ski resort/hiking locations. I believe this was completely unacceptable. I had planned activities for my free time, and would have loved to walk around the cities after dinner in both Interlaken and Lucerne. Instead, we were subjected to an additional 30-minute bus ride each way to house us - in the case of Interlaken in a "quaint Alpine-style" hotel in Grindelwald that I would say at best was a three-star hotel. In Lucerne, the Kempenski hotel in Engleberg was beautiful, but instead of eating our final meal there, we were taken to a "beer-hall" style restaurant where the food was mediocre at best. In addition, being in Engelberg meant that we were subjected to a very early morning drive in the dark on the switchbacks through the mountains to get to our departure city - Zurich. In both cases, staying outside of the cities added an additional 30 minutes of travel time in the bus each way. I had heard so many great things about Tauck tours but their switching out not just hotels, but actual hotel LOCATIONS makes me hesitate to book another tour with them.

Food quality is definitely off on Oceania. The staff an cruise director are great but you can see where they are cutting corners since NCL bought them.

Had a wonderful trip to Spain. Although I was unable to procure one of the free nights in Barcelona prior to the start of the tour, and I suspect this was due to the timing of my booking the trip since there were many, many guests who took advantage of Tauck’s gift of Time with an extra pre-tour night, at least Lee was able to book us a room at my expense for the same hotel that Tauck was using, and Lee also somehow provided us with $100 credit for the night which we used for food /beverage since she reserved the room on the Pavlus American Express card, which provided the bonus as one of the small hotels of the world or luxury hotels of the world. Going forward I guess I need to remember that there are only a finite number of free nights provided prior to the tour and the early bird catches the worm. All all, everything was great, we received our rebate from BAVLUS a few weeks before departure and everything went smoothly.

Pavlus did a great job. The cruise itenarary was too much cruising and not enough land time.

Pavlus is good. Our travel advisor, Lee continues to be excellent. We enjoyed the ship. Iceland was interesting. The rest of the cruise left a lot to be desired. Having previously been on 3 Viking River trips, I expected Viking Ocean to operate shore excursions in the same manner. Viking River included excursions were always led by a person who was knowledgeable of their subject. Most Viking River excursions were adapted to various levels of difficulty. That made it easy for everyone to participate. On Viking Mississippi, there were golf carts that transported guests up the levies to the buses. Unfortunately Viking Ocean often operates excursions without a guide. They call them self-guided or at leisure. In Greenland, both ports were just a tender ride to land. The rest was up to you to get yourself to places mentioned in the description. No shuttles, no taxis, no maps, no guides, no tour. I don’t consider myself a knowledgeable guide. Similar snafus happened in Canada. In Canada, shore excursion manager gave us incorrect info about L’Anse de meadows. The first week of the cruise was very good. We sailed around Iceland. However, the second week was a disappointment. It failed to meet our expectations.

We are very satisfied to have Pavlus Travel as our travel agent. There are so many choices to choose from and it has become a great partnership. We especially like the perks and discounts provided! Nautica is a small ship with excellent staff from housekeeping all the way to the officers. Our penthouse stateroom(starboard) was spacious and nicely appointed. We enjoyed Toscana and Grand Dining room along with the Wagu burger with chunks of grilled lobster at Waves Grill. The biggest disappointment was the enclosed smoking lounge on floor nine on portside of the Horizon lounge. Smoke order was so strong that you couldn't sit on that side and penetrated the staterooms on floor 8; early on we complained about the odor on our floor and that someone was smoking in the rooms; this lasted from breakfast to bedtime. We filled out paperwork and received a call that the next drydock they would work on it. We weren't the only ones to suffer with stuffed noses and dry eyes. As a consequence of Oceania's smoking policy, we will not be using them in the future. Thank you for your consideration, Larry and Karen Crisco

We loved the Silver Nova boat and Silver Sea cruise line with the following exceptions. We were not able to get into the Silver Note night club at all during our week long cruise. Additionally, in Juneau we were waitlisted on the Mendenhall Glacier/Whale watching tour, which never cleared. While they did get us on a Whale Watching tour, we never had time to see the Mendenhall Glacier at all. Very disappointed in Silver Sea, which strives to be a premier cruise line, but could not add another tour to allow us to do both Glacier and Whale Watching and also get us into the Silver Note. Additionally, we were hoping that Pavlus could help us out with these requests.

Pavlus got me a good price for the cruise

the extension in Bangkok was very haphazard. The hotel was lovely and the 2 morning tours were very good but the offered afternoon and evening tours were not very interesting. actually only 2 people signed up for an afternoon shopping trip. Everything else no one signed up for and the Viking guide made it sound that that's what people preferred, was down time. If we had known that we would have planned our own afternoon and evening activities. The Viking Saigon was very nic,e and all the staff was very welcoming. Our guide Chung was excellent throughout, he made the trip worthwhile . Viking did our business air and required a 4am wakeup. If we had known that there was an opportunity on Monday to do the floating market and train market we would have stayed an additional day. It made for a very long travel day

Celebrity has a great product and the service has improved since our last sailing two years ago. They have cut costs on food in the dining room, but that is probably the same with all lines.

Lee Alvarez was and is with each cruise that we have taken thorough and very timely in her responses. Always making sure we get all the discounts ( such as military ) that we are entitled to. Can’t wait to plan our next cruise with her Marsha Serota

Pavlus provides great service in all departments. I’ve referred many people to boo.

Pavlus is fine. We normally take riverboat and super yacht cruises, so are a bit spoiled. The Princess staff on the ship are as good as any on a riverboat. The one area where the riverboat is much better is the food. The train ride to Whittier was torture, as I was sick and the ride was much longer than stated. One of our excursions was canceled (river rafting) at the last minute with no opportunity to find a replacement. I thought the lodge/hotel accommodations were mediocre at best. Especially the partner hotel, the McKinley Chalet Resort, which we were moved to by Princess. It was a dump.

Lee is fantastic. She always answers all questions in a timely manner and is very professional and friendly. Viking Air did an awesome job when our flight home was rescheduled 2 days later due to weather in London. We called Viking Air at 4:00 am and we were on flights at 7:30 am heading home.

Lee at Pavlus is outstanding. Always responds to our questions and take care of us. I Did find Viking representative at ship counter not familiar with itineraries. I walk using a walker so was concerned about the "easy" trips. He would say it is only a few steps and easy. Reality is I had to miss two paid for trips. One to the Windmills was a walk over a dirt path through brush.. It appears Viking is no longer conducive for older travelers' comfort as it was in the past by providing rides to the events, or being more truthful regarding access. I was not offered a credit for something from the ships store to; compensate for my loss..

Our Travel Planner, Lee, takes very good care of us.

Through no fault of our wonderful tour guide or our hero bus driver, we only really experienced the Lake Louise portion of our trip. Due to the Jasper fires we had to be evacuated after only being in Jasper for maybe 6 hrs. We then spent 11 hrs. overnight headed toward Sun Peaks in BC where Tauck was able to find us rooms. It was actually nice there and we were safe. We were not able to do any of our planned activities after that, no glacier, no helicopter, no tram. Our tour guide Jay took us to see other places on our way to Banff and in Banff. He really tried. After Lake Louise our trip was basically bus and eating. I know the fires were an act of God but I believe that maybe Tauck and probably Jasper Park Lodge should have told us not to go there being that the fires were so close. And my biggest disappointment is that we have not heard anything from Tauck about the situation. I know Lee is away until Monday but I have heard from Heather.

Fabulous cruise experience

The crew and other passengers are good folks to travel with.

We've been more than pleased with Pavlus and with Lee, specifically. I've referred many people to Lee over the years and always mention Pavlus and Lee to people we meet on our trips and will continue to do so.

Costsaver was definitely not Trafalgar or Insight. Spartan. 2 or 3 star hotels. Very sparse continental breakfast at many hotels. No coffee maker or kettle in room. No Kleenex, just toilet paper. Very basic bus transportation in cities, meaning we had to do MUCH more walking than Trafalgar or Insight. Everything was optional, and all options were heavily pushed, and no accommodations were made for those that did not wish to do the optional tours. Would probably not do Costsaver again.

I was told on the phone before my trip that my first night at the Kimpton De Witt would be picked up by Pavlus Travel because of the mix up with our return flight on Friday June 28 and debarking from the AmaPrima on Wednesday June 26. Our original night stay at the Kimpton was for Thursday night and we had no accommodations for Wednesday. The reservation was corrected and Wednesday and Thursday were reserved. We were charged for both nights. When we arrived on Wednesday there was $100 credit that we could use in the restaurant, which was fine but it was not what I was promised on the phone before leaving for our trip. I am not complaining I am just letting you know what happened. I would use Pavlus again and I would use Ama again. I would also review all accommodations much sooner than I did this last trip. Hotel accommodations were unexpectedly lower rated including breakfast foods that were consistently the sam.

AMA cruise was terrific. ALL staff members were extremely attentive and helpful. One member of our family is a pescatarian and lactose free and they worked to accomodate all her needs. The Chef's Table dinner was exceptionally greatt! The rest of the food during the cruise was just ok. Presentation was always beautiful, but not always tasty. Ordered the steak one night and it arrived well done, but I didn't say anything. A few days later, I ordered lamb chops medium rare. It came to me well done. I decided to send my lamb chops back asking again for medium rare. The second one was also well done. I just ate some of it.

Our Pavlus travel agent seemed to be on vacation a lot! I went to Viking to get an issue resolved. Please take me off your mailing list.

This was probably the 5th Viking cruise we booked through Pavlus and the second time in succession that we experienced issues. The first was a billing SBC issue where we were shorted $300. and were told that is was a typing error. It took several days and phone calls to clear that up. The other issue we had was with the airline booking. We fly in and out of Atlanta, which is the world's biggest airport, yet we were placed on a nondirect return flight from London. We had to change planes in Toronto. The plane from Toronto was delayed 3 hours. When we finally boarded, they said that there was no room in the overhead for our small carry-on. So they took it and gave us a receipt. The bag never made it on the flight. Our plane landed in Atlanta at 1 AM and we had to leave the airport without knowing what happened to our luggage since we still had a 2 hour drive to get home. The bag contained Rx, jewelry and other valuables. It took numerous phone calls and 48 hours before it was finally delivered. In the meantime, we had to call the doctor for a refill on the prescription. I do not understand why Palvus did not book us on a direct return flight. It is unacceptable and I trust that it will not happen again. At 82, having a direct international flight is a high priority for myself and my husband.

This was a great cruise and we are totally satisfied with our travel agent, Lee. She always gets our cruises set up the way we like to travel. As noted in my comments on the survey for the 6/8/24 cruise, Lee and Pavlus Customer Service rep, Mike, had to go above and beyond to make sure our experience on the 6/15/24 cruise was satisfying. This was related to Holland America changing our cabin assignment for this cruise which would have required us to pack all of our belongings and move to a cabin one deck lower and at the opposite end of the ship. Lee & Mike quickly came to our aid and got Holland America to rescind the cabin change. We commend them both for their effort on our behalf. By the way, I did send a letter to Holland America executives to complain about the poor customer service we experienced on board the Volendam.

This cruise was the first of two back-to-back cruises. We received the normal communication from the ship regarding the turnaround day (end of cruise 1 & beginning of cruise 2) which included the normal directions regarding staying aboard that we seen many times in the past. Then, a day later, we received another communication from the ship that indicated that we would have to move to a new cabin for the next cruise. We expected that there was a mix-up and went to Guest Services - that was the beginning of a horrible customer service experience. We contacted our travel agent, Lee and Pavlus Customer Service representative Mike because Holland America claimed that Pavlus changed our cabin booking. They quickly came to our aid and worked with Holland America to resolve the situation. A few hours later, Guest Services contacted us and told us we could stay in the same cabin for the next cruise - SUCCESS! We really appreciate the quick effort on the part of our Pavlus team to resolve our issue.

We have another trip with you & Viking, next year. We were sent an email asking for final payment, from you Pavlus, for next year’s trip. We then hear later, that our final payment is not due until the fall but by then we had already started to move money around to meet the payment. It is unfortunate that the right hand doesn’t know why the left hand is doing.

Virus hit the ship so it put a damper on the cruise. However, Lee at Pavlus has always been knowledgable and helpful on our travel needs.

1. Felt like there was no “adult” crew. 2. Lovely waitress (Natalie) and housekeeper (Sean). Majority of the other staff very friendly and polite 3. Food delicious 4. Table clothes and napkins were extremely wrinkled which I thought was odd. 5. We lost time on a few excursions because 1 couple consistently was late boarding the bus. Personally, I don’t think the Bus should have waited for them to board. If everyone else was on time they should have been.

We were not on a "Globus bus" but a City Connect bus, thus not having the leg room we were accustomed to. I know this is Europe & their older hotels, but the lighting was very poor. More floor lamps etc. would have made putting on makeup etc. a lot easier. Mercure hotels were the pits compared to others. The food was par for the course with the exception of our farewell dinner which was outstanding! Also, the Taste of London Restaurant was the best fish & chips on the tour. Our guide Tara was delightful and our driver Glynn superb! We enjoyed our adventure, but now realize the older we get the harder it is on our bodies to recover. LOL Lee Alvarez & staff did an amazing job with all our questions, handling transfers (which were a breeze) etc.

Princess - Cruise was fine but we had problems with our Dinners as we have dietary restrictions due to Medical condition - Princess just did not pay attention to our Dinners even though we gave them written list. Pavlus - Very satisfied with Pavlus Travels.

It was our first ocean cruise vs. land tours. There were some places that we regretted not having more time to explore. The service was excellent as was dining . The cabin was comfortable and entertainment very good as well as the lectures. Viking is excellent when it comes to organization as well.

Tauck is always great, we had an extra excursion after planned trip and needed your help to put together the details of that trip and were pleased with getting almost all the help we needed. Overall very good.

Our vacation was great. Lee answered my emails and phone calls in a timely manner. She was helpful and if she didn’t have the answer she had someone else answer my questions. When we first booked the trip there were a good bit of mistakes in our emails that we received but they were corrected so all was good. When it came to the flights that’s where the problems began and continued throughout the trip. First of all they grouped my husband and I with another couple. We were assigned seats then unassigned seats then had to pay for seats and then they had me sitting next to the other man that was grouped with us and my husband next to his wife. No big deal - we could switch on plane - no big deal but it shouldn’t have been that way. Then every time they made a change to their flight registration we got an email saying our information had changed and vice versa. The day before we left I checked our information and mine was completed - the other couples was not. They went in to complete their information and then mine went from complete to incomplete. This added stress to my life. On the way home - I checked my husband and I in - it asked me if I wanted to check the other couple in and I did not because I don’t know them that well and I did not want to check them in. When they went to check in they couldn’t because it asked them for my email address and my husbands email address and they didn’t know them. Then we got to airport we were checking on changing flights due to a delay but we would have had to do it with the people who were grouped with us. And that did not work for us. With all that being said - no one should be grouped with anyone besides their spouse or family. I should not be able to see or fool with anyone else’s airline reservations and vice versa. That was a horrible situation. I don’t know why they grouped us together instead of just having my husband and I together like it should have been. That was a nightmare.

On this trip, Pavlus dropped the ball by not sending us our travel documents. When I contacted Guest Relations, I was told that we received them, but we never did. Tyler Snow was kind enough to email them to us and then all our questions were answered. Our vacation with Tauck was great!

If there was a rating higher than 10 for overall satisfaction with Pavlus Travel, that’s what you would deserve and that’s how I would rate you. All of you! Our Princess Discovery Total Eclipse Cruise was amazing and awesome. The ship is beautiful, the staff wonderful, the food delicious. It did not feel like the biggest ship we had ever been on at all. No congestion, no waiting in line, no complaints. The entertainment was diverse and enjoyable. The staff members were always smiling and warm and efficient. And the efforts the captain made to ensure us the longest time and perfect location to view the entire eclipse was much appreciated, as were the experts they had onboard explaining everything. Perfection!

Great trip - Loved the small group we were with. Had a wonderful tour guide Had difficulty with flights being cancelled on way home, but that wasn't Pavlus' fault Lee is great to work with - responds quickly to my questions we have already referred several people to Pavlus.

Good vacation overall. I crossed it off out bucket list and am not sure that i would recommend the same trip to others. There were too many sea days for my liking. Weather was very hot and humid. To top it off, I got a nasty foodborne illness in the Maya Ubud Resort and Spa, which was a Viking post cruise extension.

I chose to do this cruise because we were going to be in Florida for a birthday celebration the day before the cruise left. Wanting to stay in warm weather I thought a short cruise made sense. However, though my husband did find it relaxing, I really don’t care for cruises of this nature as previous cruises we have taken focused more on the destinations. We were not impressed with NCL but the specialty restaurants were very good. We are looking forward to our next cruise on Windstar in Tahiti in September.
